One of the top questions I get asked most commonly amongst buyers is, “how long will the escrow process be”? There really is no absolute answer to this since the timeline will depend upon 3 things: 1) How quickly you you would like to close. 2) What type of loan you have and/or if you are paying cash. 3) How quickly the seller is able to close.
A most typical escrow process for a buyer obtaining a loan would be around 30 days. Depending upon your lender and how quickly they can package and process your loan, this could be +/- 10 days.
Keep in mind all these dates are predetermined and negotiated up front. Both parties need to mutually agree on a closing date as this typically involves timing on the buyer moving in and seller moving out.
